CFP: Eye Tracking and Visual Arts

Publication
Journal of Eye Movement Research
Special Thematic Issue
Guest editor: Raphael Rosenberg, University of Vienna
Stichtag: 15.09.2019

There is a long tradition of assumptions about eye movements in art literature — beginning centuries before their measurement was possible — and a growing practice of using empirical methods in the study of visual arts. In recent years, eye tracking has been applied in regard to visual arts in fields as diverse as psychology, art history, computer sciences, and neurosciences. We are planning a thematic special issue with original research and or reviews about eye tracking and visual arts. This will include empirical studies, methodological issues like measurement and data analysis, as well as historical research.

We invite authors for submissions, following the instructions given in https://bop.unibe.ch/index.php/JEMR/about/submissions#authorGuidelines

Deadlines:
Abstract submission: September 15, 2019,
Full text manuscript submission: January 15, 2020.

The Journal of Eye Movement Research will publish each individual article in Issue 2 of Volume 13 (2020) on a rolling basis, i.e. each abstract and article will be reviewed, and articles will be published immediately after their acceptance, even before the issue is completed.
