Sorin Alexandrescu Festschrift – 80

The editors of the volume Signs, Texts, Images, dedicated to Professor Sorin Alexandrescu’s work, are seeking articles in literary studies, Romanian cultural studies, semiotics, modernity and postmodernity, narratology, visual studies with a focus on painting, photography, film, and theatre.

Of special interest are contributions on topics that Sorin Alexandrescu has explored in his books and articles, as well as contributions that put into an international context his work. Interdisciplinary approaches that integrate political history, cultural history, visual and literary studies are welcome.

If you would like to have an article considered for the volume, please submit the title, abstract (250 words), and a brief biographical description (150 words), including affiliation and your most relevant publications in your field.

Submissions should be sent via email to volum.salexandrescu@gmail.com by June 15, 2017. Editors will confirm the acceptance of your proposal by June 30, 2017. Articles of 5000-6000 words may be in Romanian, English, and French. The number of illustrations will be determined later. The deadline for the article submission is October 15, 2017.
