The winners of the Roland Faelske Award for Comics and Animated Film 2024 have been announced: We are particularly pleased to congratulate our editorial coordinator and ComFor member Natalie Veith (University of Stuttgart), who received the award in the “Best Dissertation” category with Neo-Victorian Comic Books and the Politics of Representation. We would also like to congratulate Lena Winkel (HAW Hamburg) on winning the prize in the category “Best MA Thesis” with Tiere Richtig Zeichnen. The award ceremony will, according to current planning, take place on October 10, 2025 at the 20th ComFor Annual Conference in Hamburg.

The Roland Faelske Prize is awarded every two years by the Arbeitsstelle für Graphische Literatur (ArGL) at Universität Hamburg. Further information and an overview of past prize winners can be found here.
