How to get there

Schwarzenbach a.d. Saale is located in northeastern Bavaria, halfway between Berlin – Munich or Frankfurt – Prague.

By airplane

The closest airport is in Nuremberg (approx. 2,5 h by train), alternatively Leipzig/Halle or Dresden (approx. 3,5 h). Frankfurt and Munich airport are further away, but within reach of four to five hours by train.

By train

Schwarzenbach (Saale) has a direct train connection to Hof and Bamberg. Other connections lead via Hof, where two hotels have been secured for participants of the conference (see Accomodation for further details).

By car

Motorway A9, exit “Münchberg Süd”, follow road B289 to Schwarzenbach.

Motorway A93, exit “Rehau Süd”, follow road B289 to Schwarzenbach.

By long distance bus

Flixbus to Hof (continue by train or bus) or Münchberg (continue by taxi).

Arrival

For anyone arriving on Thursday night, we have planned an informal get-together and light dinner starting around 19 p.m at the Café Hein in Schwarzenbach. If you would like to join us, please let us know at info@erika-fuchs.de .

If you will be arriving on Friday, our best advice is to come directly to the conference venue at Schwarzenbach and to take the shuttle bus to your hotel in the evening (further information under Accomodation).
